“Ghost Exchange” soars and lands a CINE Golden Eagle Award – June 26, 2013
Arbitrage Pictures (http://www.arbitragepictures.com) celebrates receiving a prestigious Spring 2013 CINE Gold Eagle Award for its first independently funded documentary Ghost Exchange.
For over fifty years, CINE has recognized many of the industry’s most celebrated filmmakers, producers and television programs with the Golden Eagle Awards. Arbitrage Pictures is proud to have Ghost Exchange (http://www.ghostexchangemovie.com) added to this legacy of industry achievement.
The film was awarded in the Independent Division as a Documentary Feature. It is also a nominee for the competitive CINE Special Jury Award as the best production in its 2013 category. CINE’s mission is to support emerging and established producers of film, television and digital media through its film competitions, educational panels, screenings and networking opportunities.
“We really thank CINE for recognizing our work on this important film about our capital markets,” said the director/writer of the film, Camilla Sullivan, (@Camilla411). “It’s encouraging for independent film.”
The creative team behind Ghost Exchange, Camilla Sullivan and Rob Lyall, could not be happier at the acknowledgement by such a venerated organization in the filmmaking community. Ghost Exchange has gained international attention, recently featured in the Festival Doc Shop at this year’s HotDocs Canadian International Film Festival. The United Kingdom’s Sheffield Doc/Fest selected the film to be featured in their competitive 2013 ‘Videotheque.’
